    Hi,

I recently built a new domain controller, and have pointed clearpass at the new DC for authorisations and assigned the new DNS servers, however I am seeing that on one of my controllers in Instant, and under VC DNS, is NOT showing the new DNS server, just 0.0.0.0. On the other controller it is still showing the OLD DNS server. Questions are would this create time out issues, and also, where can I change this to reflect the new DNS server info?

What are you using DNS for?  If it is for clients, the clients would utilize the DNS they receive for DHCP, NOT the dns server on the Aruba Instant devices.

Log into the VC you want to edit the settings in. Under System>General, you can edit the "Virtual Controller DNS" Do you have dynamic RADIUS proxy set up on your cluster to have your RADIUS requests be sent from the VC address instead of the individual APs? The individual IAPs will get an address and DNS IP via DHCP unless you have them all set up with static addresses (not recommended). If you do have RADIUS defined as FQDN then DNS issues will cause RADIUS issues.

You say that you built a new DC, and Clearpass points to it. Any authorization traffic to the DC will happen from clearpass, not the IAPs or IAP VC. IAPs and IAP VC will communicate to Clearpass.
