Licenses for 6.8 and 6.10 are the same, so you should be fine. Always good to have a backup, and TAC can assist if you you get stuck anywhere in the process.
Note that a valid and active support contract is required for a ClearPass upgrade.
Also, please be informed that ClearPass 6.10 will go end-of-support in a few months, so please consider to upgrade to 6.11 or 6.12, which needs a re-installation of the VM/hardware appliance.

Subject: Clearpass 6.8 License Issue
Hello,
We have a clearpass that is running on version 6.8 but we want to upgrade 6.10 version. Our licenses are permanent but when we upgrade the system is it possible losing our licenses. I believe in newer versions the license key is something more longer. I don't want to lose my licenses via upgrade. Do i need to convert the licenses in portal or am i need TAC assistance with that ? ALso I cannot see my subscribtion id in the Clearpass. Thanks,
Regards,
