    Hi Team,

We have a cluster of two nodes , each node has 8.3.0.7 on default partition and has 6.x on other partition.

1.If we upgrade the 6.x partition with  8.3.0.13 image, do we need to reconfigure the controller with flash backup of the 8.3.0.7 or it works fine by taking the config from 8.3.0.7 partition by automatically. ?

2.The cluster ap load balancing is not proper on  cluster and it is not showing standby APs on each cluster node with 2S flag, only showing active APs on each controller.

What is the solution for above queries.

    Regards,

    Mallikarjun

If you upgrade the non-running partition (like the 6.5 in your question), the new firmware will be loaded and the current running configuration (8.x) will be applied/upgraded to the new firmware after reboot. The configuration is separate from the firmware partitions. So just upgrade in the backup partition to the new version you want to run.

For the cluster, there is not enough information. Please work with your Aruba partner or Aruba Support to check the cluster configuration and status, which will indicate where the issue may be and how to solve it.

    Hi Herman,

    Thank you  for the info.

I thought like we need to reconfig the device since it is being upgraded from the 6.x to 8.x on non-running partition, because when we did  migration we did fresh config on the device for aos8 so I posted this.
