Controller hardware migration/upgrade path

    We currently have 3200 controllers running OS v3.x and we are going to replace them with 3600 controllers running some version of 6.x.  Since we aren't actually performing a software upgrade there won't be any upgrade path issues with the controllers but I have concerns about the APs.  Will the APs be able to properly upgrade to v6 when they connect to the new controller the first time or do they need to go through the upgrade path?

    The APs themselves can go direct to 6.x; you should not need the hop upgrade that the controllers do.
