I have 2 controllers with 8.6 code that I need to join to a Mobility Conductor running 8.10.  Is this possible?  I know you can have the controllers running a lower code than Mobility Conductor.  The controllers are remote, so I do not have the ability to upgrade them to 8.10 until they are joined to the Mobility Conductor.  Please advise.

the feature is called multi-version and i think it should be fine.

Here is the user guide reference for Mobility conductor with 8.10.

There may be a logged warning about version mismatch but the association should go fine.  8.10 on a Conductor is specifically called out as having multi-version support down to MDs running 8.6.

I migrate some customers from 8.6.x.x to 8.10.x.x without any issues.

    • First update the Mobility Conductor
    • Second update your Managed Devices (gateways).

Create VMware snapshot and configuration of the Mobility Conductor before you start.
