I am working remotely and I have a RAP 303 that terminate at the controller. I also have access to airwave.
we are transitioning from RAP deployment to IAP-VPN.
how can I convert the RAP to IAP remotely so I can configure it be as a Master instant AP and the others at the same location as Slave instant APs.
Oh that's going to be tough. I think you should be able to enable ap telnet/ssh, and then wipe the configuration from the remote console connection. You should then point the APs to Airwave via Aruba Activate and then push a config, or use Aruba Central if you have it to configure the AP for IAP-VPN.
Otherwise someone will have to console into the AP and factory reset it....
Did you check this https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-less-WLANs/How-to-convert-Instant-Campus-AP-Remote-AP-back-to-IAP-mode/ta-p/393352
Oh that's awesome! That's going in the reference notebook
That is awesome! I will definitely try it once the transition starts.
Hello, this link doesn't seem to be valid anymore, greatly appreciate if anyone can share the link to the article.
The web help has a section on converting APs to Instant APs. https://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ArubaOS_8.11.0_Web_Help/Content/arubaos-solutions/access-points/conv-ap-iap.htm
