    Hi

I want to through profiling to identify client device hostname and write to endpoint attribute, but client all uses a static IP address.

I think DHCP relay to cppm is not helpful.

Is any other method can profiling?

    Thanks.

you can use subnet scanning with SNMP and also use  a discovery via an ARP-Table read, again using SNMP

See this section of the guide

Device in this context means Controller, Switch, etc.
The information will be read by ClearPass via SNMP from Controller or Switch and write it to endpoint Database. This is often used for Client Devices which has static IPs.
