    Hi,

Trying to configure some authentication on a CX 6300 running 10.13.1010. Problem is its a CX with nothing but SFP+ modules.  Got atest windows laptop, plug into a 2930 and. link light comes up and everything works. plug it into the CX and even though I think everything is enabled , if im lucky i may see something in the logs saying that the link is up but usually it just says its down.

If I want to use a standard windows 10 device connected to a copper SFP+ module on the switch, is there anything special I have to configure on the switch? Sor of a hindrance that im 40 miles from the switch and have to rely on  another enginer to plug it in, unplug it.
Seem  that neither the pc or the switch thinks anything is at the other end of the cable. As I said move cable from 6300 to 2930 and stuff just works

    A

Which SFP+ modules did you install?

Are the SFP+ modules detected when inserted into the switch (show interface transceiver)?
