Our remote sites have 1 or more TV's playing commercials, usually powerpoints that we converted to mkv.
Today we feed the TV's with usb sticks.
In a scenario with a central controller in HQ and split-tunneled RAP's, is it at all feasable to stream content from say an Android phone to a wirelessly connected TV over DLNA / uPnP in a remote location ?
Cifs would probably work ( even if the server at the site were wirelessly connected, as long as he registered in dns) , but then the TV takes initiative and "pulls" data in, instead of DLNA's push (DMR) model.
Any pointers welcome, or would you advise against this path?
At some point it is going to hit.
