    .... or just rely on DHCP signatures..

    IF-MAP can be helpful to determine exact OS version numbers for some workflows though it’s becoming less useful over time as everything moves to HTTPS.

    If you have Aruba controllers, it’s definitely worth configuring.

    so is IF-MAP useful for anythig else other than OS version numbers ?

    It can enhance profiling if the data is available.

    For example it would be the difference between knowing a device is an iPad vs. Just an IOS device.

    what sort of logging is there available when processing if-map data ?
