    Hi all,

I have a 5500 Layer 3 switch at the core and 2530 switches on the edge of my network.  I have numerous VLANs setup and inter VLAN routing enabled.  I want to setup Wake On LAN, so that it works across my different subnets.  I've looked at the ip forward commands and have set these on the 5500 but I dont seem to have equivalent settings on the 2530 switch.  Is it possible to setup Wake On LAN to work across my VLANs?

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

The forwarding only needs to be configured on the L3 switch,  I presume the 2530s are access switches, and they'll pass the WOL packet fine.
In sniffer, look at UDP port used for WOL, and ip forward that port on 5500

I can't get this to work.  I've set my config as follows:

In system view I've enabled ip forward-broadcast.

Then on my source vlan interface, I've also enabled ip forward-brodcast (as per this link https://www.vcloudnine.de/hp-comware-forwarding-subnet-directed-broadcasts-for-wake-on-lan/).  Even before I set an acl to limit the broadcasts, it doesn't work for me.

    Have I missed anything?
