Had to lookup what pattern drop is (something like !!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.!!!.! so few success, fails, successes again), but when I did the possible answer is in there as well. This probably has to do with CoPP (Control Plane Policing), and yes that is on by default on CX. The AOS-CX CoPP Guide can probably get you further if you need to look up more or want to tweak the configured values.
