I want to configure two controller in active-active mode. How would I configure it & how would I configure same license in both controller .
Please tell me the configuration in step by step
Hi,
Why don't you use the cluster function in AOS 8. This will bring Active-Active mode with even more features like AP and User Load Balancing.
There are many guides out there describing cluster setup.
would I have to configure VRRP IP in case of ACTIVE-ACTIVE configuration.
That all really depends on how you deploy everything.
Typically, yes, but it is not a hard requirement.
Please have a look at the ArubaOS 8 Fundamentals Guide: https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-Based-WLANs/ArubaOS-8-Fundamentals-Guide/ta-p/428914
It details all the options regarding your controller architecture for both ArubaOS 6.x and 8.x.
The 'best' setup would be to buy a Mobility Master (MM), which can be a virtual machine, and have it manage 2 Mobility Controllers (MC).
The MM will allow you to cluster the 2 MC's and have it automatically load balance AP's and users across the MC cluster.
