How does insight calculate top 20 bandwidth users ?

    Having gotten our insight cluster node to the state where its usable we've noticed that the device at the top of the "top 20 bandwidth users"  has a mac address of an AP that's connected to a switch... and the figure of 2.05Tb is wrong!

    Are you doing wired authentication?

    wired and wireless 

     

    Ah! of course. plugging an AP in does macauth to drop it into the right vlan ... and hence there is radius accounting
