    Hi community,

I need to configure an ArubaOS-CX Switch(6000-series) for MSTP.

We use four instances with some vlan ranges in our current setup, but "spanning-tree instance x vlan y" only allow one vlan per command. I need to setup ranges of hundreds of vlans.

On an aruba 2930 it looks like:

    spanning-tree instance 1 vlan 120-147 149-254
    spanning-tree instance 2 vlan 1000-1199 1600-1699 1701-1705 1710 1711
    spanning-tree instance 3 vlan 105 107
    spanning-tree instance 4 vlan 148

How may I tell spanning-tree instance a range?

    Any help will be appreciated

    Christopher

    Hi Chris,

The config with the range of vlans for each mstp instance should be the same - the only difference is that you should use commas and no empty spaces between the integers. Here an example:

    spanning-tree instance 2 vlan 1000-1199,1600-1699,1701-1705,1710,1711

    Hi Stanislav,

    works! Thanks a lot.

It's not documented in CLI guider or interactive help.
