Hi all,
I´ve a problem in clearly understanding what the following output is meaning :(
SWITCH01# sh spanning-tree
Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) Information
STP Enabled : Yes
Force Version : RSTP-operation
IST Mapped VLANs : 1-4094
Switch MAC Address :
0021f7-XXXXXSwitch Priority : 32768
CST Root MAC Address :
f89e28-XXXXXIST Regional Root MAC Address :
0021f7-XXXXXSWITCH02# show spanning-tree
Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) Information
STP Enabled : Yes
Force Version : RSTP-operation
IST Mapped VLANs : 1-4094
Switch MAC Address :
001f28-XXXXXCST Root MAC Address :
f89e28-XXXXXIST Regional Root MAC Address :
001f28-XXXXXI think I understand that the CST Root is another Switch in the network but why is the IST Regional Root MAC Address each switch for it self the root? As I think to know and please correct me if my thoughts are wrong, there`s no MSTI/Region configured and the VLANs from 1-4094 are mapped as default... so is the CST used here because of the "force-version RSTP-operation" command and the IST is not needed or why I´m not having any troubles in the network?
thanks for any kind of help!
