When running in Instant mode:
firmware on ASP.
With
controller up to version 8.6.
I would not expect issues when you upgrade to 6.4.4.8/4.2; but read the manual/release notes and you can downgrade by uploading (the) old firmware.

Subject: IAP-103-rw upgrade potential?
hello,I've been tasked to upgrade some network equipment for a school.
They are using about a dozen Aruba IAP-103-RW
Firmware shows it is running
6.4.2.3-4.1.1.4_49446
6.4.2.0-4.1.1
Since this is a very old firmware and hasn't been maintained by anyone for years, and i have no prior experience with aruba products....
could anyone please inform me of things like:
- what the latest firmware is that they support?
- are there limitation/ problems when upgrading to 6.x or 8.x (should the product support this)
- is it possible to downgrade, should any issues arise?
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Kind regards
