Hi all,
I have two access points IAP-205 in network (named Aruba) and Maximum speed in 2.4 GHz range is 144 Mbps when I see in Wi-Fi monitoring tool (see picture):
Why? In specification I see 300 Mbps max rate:
If you Bond 2.4ghz channels together (ARM Wide Channels to Both or 2.4ghz) http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/Instant_423_WebHelp/InstantWebHelp.htm#UG_files/ARM/Configuring_ARM-Features.htm you can achieve 300. It is not recommended to bond or run wide channels in 2.4ghz due to the limited number of channels in the 2.4ghz band.
So, you mean what max rate of single/standalone IAP-205 is 144 Mbps? But in specification I see 300 Mbps as max rate - is it wrong?
The hardware is capable of 300 and if you turn on channel bonding (wide channels) in the 2.4ghz band you will see 300. This is not done because there are only 3 non-overlapping channels in the 2.4ghz band.
OK. Thanks for clarifying :)
