    Some more context is needed.

    • What is de model Access Point?
    • Is this a instant AP / campus AP / unified AP?
    • Did you join it early to Aruba Central of activatie?

Basicly the first thing you have to do is to add/register the device in Aruba Greenlake, you need the mac-address and serialnumber. After that you have to add a AP foundation or avandced licences. Then you need to bound the subscription to the access points.

The access points need to get an IP adresss (default through DHCP) and need DNS and default gateway to reach the internet. Test a laptop in the samen netwerk and check your internetconnectivity on the same cable as you place the access point.  If the AP can reach the internet it will connect automaticly to Aruba Central.

When the AP has discovered Aruba Central it will come online in the Aruba Central default group. Where you have to move it to a configuration group of choice.

Reasons why an AP not connect to Aruba Central:

    • Check if the AP model is supported for Aruba Central, note that campus APs are not supported (must be an IAP or Unified AP).
    • Update the AP to newer firmware before join it to Central, maybe your firmware is to old.
    • If AP was previously connected to another Aruba Central tenant, remove it first from that tenant or call Aruba TAC support.

Hope this helps you with the first steps.
