For example, the Aruba controller's authentication source uses Internal DB,
but can the web login page be authenticated through an external server?

Yes.  The Captive Portal Authentication profile has a server group.  That is the server that is queried for captive portal.  When you use clearpass, the Captive Portal authentication profile is just pointing to clearpass as a radius server.

    EDIT:
To be clear, ClearPass can provide the webpage, but you can authenticate to a separate radius or ldap server using the Captive Portal Authentication Profile server group.

    thank you colin

We prepared a separate web page and confirmed that it works with the Custom HTML Post command.

A separate login page was created in CPPM and the operation test was confirmed using the custom login form.

In the opposite case, it was confirmed that it works well even if the controller internal captive portal is used and the external authentication server is specified as the source and tested.
