    Hi, Customer currently has a HPE 5412 Zl (J9643A) switch. Since it is EOL will below line card be compatible with it?

     

    J9538A HP 8-port 10GbE SFP+ v2 zl Module included (min=0 \ max=8 SFP+ Transceivers)

    Yes, it will.

    Generally any v2 zl Module is supported on HP ProCurve 5400 zl Switch series (there are some minimum software version requirements the Switch should run to fully support some modules): in your case the J9538A is supported since old K.15.02.0004 software release...but I strongly suggest you to deploy that Module on a Switch which run a Software version newer than K.16.04.0014 (very latest is K.16.02.0027) because of some specific performance bugs (tcp-push-preserve IIRC) that were fixed starting from that release.
