Hi All,

When we install PEF licenses on our 7240 controller, we immediately loose access to that controller. After removing that license, we regain the control. 

Controller is in VRRP for redundancy. We are trying to install PEF licenses to Master controller.

This issue might be with a policy applied on the port where the wired client is connected ( client from where you are trying to take SSH or GUI).

In Aruba controller, policies will be activated as soon as PEF NG license is enabled.

as a work around check any policy ( ACL) is mapped to the port where the client is connected or the role mapped to that wired client.

Thanks for your quick response. Will you plz let me know the path on the controller to check the wired client policy? How to relax wired client policy to allow SSH & HTTPS connection ?

Hi,

To diagnose the issue follow these steps,

1. Install PEFNG license and reboot the controller

2. try to console through SSH or GUI

3. Console the device using serial port and run a command " show acl hits " it will show what are the policies executed and figure out which policy is blocking SSH and HTTPS traffic.

Please check to see if the port is trusted or not.

Thanks !! That was the issue. Portchannel interface was in NOT TRUSTED state due to which it was refusing connections. Post entering TRUSTED command, it started working without any issues. Once again thanks every one for the help
