    hello airheads,

I AM using an instant cluster.

i would like to use 802.1x with MAC auth.

basically the user associates and the mAC auth takes place with the MAC address being compared with an entry in the internal database of the Instant cluster, followed by an 802.1x authentication backed off to NPS. is this possible?

Yes, BUT when doing mac auth with 802.1x on Instant the mac auth server needs to be the same server as the 802.1x server:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMl8vEh1Rt8&list=PL37Y-XxK6oanTV3821XpKHFVo3hGPW-56&index=27
