Hello,

 

i'm facing a problem for install the last version of iMC 5.2 with a remote mysql server.

 

All the distros are Centos 6.4.

 

When i launch the install.sh, the precheck are ok (also the database connectivity check), the install is done, but when it's the moment to do the deploy, the deployment failed into the "building database ....."

 

I can see in the log that the deployment try to use the local server adress........

 

But in the configuration i've specified the remote address of the mysql server.

 

Does someone has some information about this problem ?

During install IMC checks for MYSQL installation on the local machine. If the pre-reqs are not on there, it will attempt to install it's own database, so make sure you install the mysql client on the actual IMC server machine:

 

(from the IMC mysql 5.5 install manual)

1.Install both MySQL-server-5.5.18-1.rhel15.x86_64.rpm and
MySQL-client-5.5.18-1.rhel15.x86_64.rpm on the database server.
2. Install only MySQL-client-5.5.18-1.rhel15.x86_64.rpm on the IMC server that uses a remote
database server.
3. Select other serverfor the database location and enter the server IP address during IMC installation.

2) i do exactly what you say.

 

On my iMC server, i've installed the Mysql-Client.

On the mysql server - i've installed the Mysql-server package, all is correct in the configuration, i can join mysql server from the iMC Server using the mysql cli.

 

When i start the installation of iMC, in the configuration i select a standard installation, and in the configuration box, i select other server for the database, specify the ip address of my MySQL server. At this moment, the check of prerequire is alright. The installer can join the DB.

 

After, that, the installation is done. Then, is the moment where the installer must "deploy" the differents components of iMC and at this, time, when the installer must create the tables of the DB, i think that the deploy of the package try to find a local mysql server. I suppose that because in the log of the deploy i see that the connectivity to the database was not possible on the local server IP address.

 

Maybe there is a problem into the management of the deploy ? The variables that i've set (other server, ip address, port, ....) are not passed to the deployment.

 

Need help :(

I want to jnstall imc 5.2 on cent os 6.4 x86_64
After running installatie.sh on the same server i got a error.
Cannot initialize graphics installation.
Do you have any glue.

Are you running a full GUI, or redirecting X to a remote server?
