onboard new 6100 switch to Aruba Central

    Recently we deployed one new CX6100 PoE switch in our network. it is working fine now.

    what benefit do i get if i onboard the switch to Aruba Central.

    how do i get the MAC address of the switch if I need to onboard the switch to Central ?

    It should be on the shipping box, on the device itself, in the Web UI in the Overview page under System, or in the CLI with the command 'show system'.

    Benefits of onboarding the switch to Central are cloud management, monitoring, and insights. The benefits of cloud management increase when you have more network devices, which you can then manage, upgrade and monitor all at once from a single dashboard. You can run a test-drive on the Central demo environment to see it in action.

    what are the steps to onboard the switch to Central ?

    would i lose the switch config ?

    You can keep/import the configuration into Central. I would make a backup of the config, just in case.
