A customer of ours has 70+ HP switches and PCM3.10 installed. There are about 25 VLANs, routed.
We are experiencing delays in our regular DNS lookups because of PCM sending constant DNS reverse lookups for all the devices discovered. Only a few VLANs have a reverse DNS lookup zone configured, these requests are resolved and the rest are sent to the forwarders.
Is there a way to stop these constant reverse lookups or at least lower the interval? We tried disabling the discovery and changing the options under Preferences - Device Acces, all without any improvement. For the moment we stopped the PCM services .
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
