Printer does not print

    Hi all,

I have an issue with the printing process.

I have an aruba instant on 1930 JL681A switch and two access points aruba 315. The internet connection is good and stable.

I bought a printer - brother DCP-1622WE and connected to the internet. It is connected to the internet but I am not able to print. The phone/laptop and the printer are connected on the same wireless network. More than that, I tried to connect to the phone hotspot and it printed. I think there should be an option or something to be activated.

When I try to print, after waiting for  around 1 minute,  I receive this message: if your wireless router/access point has the Privacy Separator option, we recommend disabling it.

Could you please help me to solve this issue?

Thank you very much for the effort,

    Petru

What I suspect is that if the printer and client are in the same network, they assume that they can freely communicate and skip sending print jobs through the cloud.

Two settings that you can have a look at (and disable) are: Deny inter user bridging, and Broadcast filtering (set to none).

    Hi Herman,

    Thank you for the answer.

I checked the "Deny inter user bridging" and is was disabled.

Related to the "Broadcast filtering" option - it was set to "ARP" value

These are the possible values :

    manual
    arp
    all
    unicast-arp-only

I checked all of them and the printer is not printing :(

    Thank you very much,

    Petru

In that case, it may be best to work with your Aruba partner or Aruba TAC.
