    Dear all,

We are having some problem with Wifi printers Brother HL-5470DW used by Ipad users.

Printers and Ipad are connected to a 802.1X SSID (ACS Radius) with MAC Authentication (on the controller Internal Database).

When switching on the printers, the authentication occurs and we can print.

The problem appears when the printers are in standby because the Ipad can’t discover them using Airprint. We have the restart the printer to be able to use it.

Is there a setting or an option we missed on the printer or on the controller ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,

Brother printer provides a Remote Console that can be used to control the Sleep Mode behaviour.

You can find the details about it in the below link, which I think may be of use to you.

From Aruba perspective we have a high end solution for Printer sharing services across campus/ enterprise based on user credentials called Airgroup. This also can be used for controlling equivalent solution of Android. So if you have lot of Bonjour/ mdns based services running in your network and you want to optimize it, you can use it.
