    Hi Tim,

Do we need to take one time subsciption [1 Yr] for QuickConnect in a deal where CPPM appliance & license are in 3 yrs support ? Or Quick Connect subsciption should also be taken for 3 yrs?

In IRIS, i do not see a 3 yrs subsciption!

You typically don't bundle ClearPass Policy Manager together with QuickConnect. These are separate products.

Please check with your local Aruba Sales team if you are quoting the correct products.

To push certificate on end user smart phone, i want to leverage Quick
    Connect.

Its a subscription service. What is consumption model ? Does it track the
MAC address of the end user device to track how many licenses are consumed
! Customer is having 300 smart phones, But if a end user replaces his
device does the new device consume a new license.

As this is a subscription based service, if customer continues with BYOD
service for 3 years. i need to take 900 licenses ?

If you want to push a client certificate to your unmanaged clients, then you should have Onboard, not QuickConnect.

With QuickConnect you can just push the RADIUS Server certificate and (supplicant) settings to connect to the network. How will you provision the client credentials??

Please check with your local Aruba Sales team if you really need QuickConnect and not Onboard.

QuickConnect is licensed based on the number of endpoints being supported. As QuickConnect will generate the configuration packages, those need to be hosted somewhere on a web server accessible by your clients (web server/service is not part of QuickConnect). Because of that, there is no counting or hard enforcement, it is a agreement that you use QuickConnect just for the licensed number of devices and the subscription period. The provisioned clients will continue to work after the QuicKConnect subscription expires.

I want to deploy OnBoard (BYOD) in my environment. My understanding is
OnBoard service will generate unique license on CPPM and quick connect is
required to install these certificate on the devices !

QuickConnect is a 'stripped down' version of Onboard, where the provisioning of credentials/client certificates is part of Onboard but not of QuickConnect.

Add Onboard licenses instead of QuickConnect. You don't need both. And you can order Onboard either as a perpetual license (does not expire) or as a subscription.

What may cause some confusion is that Onboard uses the QuickConnect app on Android and Windows; but that is included for the devices that you Onboard.

Please make sure you with your local Distributor or Aruba Sales team if there is any doubt on what to order.
