Quickconnect and Samsung S5 fingerprint scanner

    We've noticed the quickconnect seems to be incompatible with the new S5.

    Fingerprint scanning is not recognised as a secure login method and it won't allow onboard credentials to be stored if this is set.

    If you temporarily set PIN as a login method, you are unable to change back to a fingerprint login - the option is greyed out.

     

    Seems to be quickconnect is not recognising the new method. Anyone else had this problem and can we expect an update soon?

    I’ve noticed on Samsung Android devices, it always requires a PIN to be set even though there is nothing in the configuration profile that says it should.

    I’m guessing we’re seeing the same issue.

    Yep, sounds right.

    Unfortunately all my clients are quite taken with their new fingerprint scanners and "won't use onboard" if be can't supported. Do you think this can be resosved by a quickconnect update or is it just a samsung issue?

    Seems to be only affecting Samsung. Definitely worth having Aruba TAC investigate though.

    cappalli, have you noticed whether the samsung 'password' login method is accepted by quick connect?

    This is listed as 'high security' in the S5 interface, whereas pin is listed as 'medium to high security'
