Hi there,

I've recently aquired a HP 2510-24 J9019B Switch, but I can't seem to factory reset it.

I have tried holding both the Reset and the Clear button, releasing the Reset button while still holding Clear, and then releasing the Clear after few seconds, when the Test Light stops blinking.

After doing that, it's still asking me for username and password.
I have tried many combinations, "admin admin", "admin password", "admin" with no password, nothing worked. I have tried logging into web with the 192.168.2.10 and 192.168.1.1 and nothing worked, my laptop was connected via ethernet cable and the ip was set up correctly to match the server one. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Try this,

1. console into the switch
2. press enter on the console screen while pressing the "clear" button

this will bypass the login process and you will be able to access the switch console.
