Cana static IP address be manually configured on an AP-135 using the ETH0 port? DHCP is not available.  The AP-135s are deployed and cabled back to a communications room.  Come to find out that the switch that they will connect to is on a network that does not support DHCP.  Do I have to connect to the console port for console access (which means going to each AP location)?

Yes...you would need to connect to the console if the AP didn't get a DHCP address.  Another way would be to connect the AP temporarily to a user VLAN with DHCP...once provisioned to the controller, re-provision it and set the IP address in the provisioning screen.  It will reboot with that IP address.  You will then move it back to that original VLAN and everything should work.

    At the AP console:

    setenv ipaddr x.x.x.x
    setenv netmask x.x.x.x
    setenv gatewayip x.x.x.x

    saveenv

    boot
