Unable to apply ClearPass Policy Manager Eval licenses

    Hello there,

    I've installed virtual  Aruba ClearPass 6.11.0 (KVM)  Policy Manager Model Number : CLABV

    I managed to go to the partner portal and then License Management >>>Trial Licenses >>> Activate 

    Afterwards, I received 3 emails for License Key of the following :

    -Aruba ClearPass NL AC 100 CE E-LTU
    -Aruba ClearPass NL OB 100 USR E-LTU
    -Aruba ClearPass NL OG 100 EP E-LTU

    However, every time I try to enter license key in the ClearPass Platform Activation Key, I got this message below :

    "You have entered an invalid license key"
    There's Internet connection from ClearPass Policy Manager, and  I did include the begin and end lines, including all the hyphen characters without including any leading or trailing space characters.

    Can someone please tell me what's the issue ?

    Platform activations are a little different than the product license keys which is what it looks like you're trying to add. Take a look at this link it may help you with your platform activation.

    I've followed the exact steps in the link above and unfortunately I faced the same issue :(

    I'm not sure if the issue is related to the type of VM (KVM)  and Policy Manager Model Number : CLABV.

    Hi

    You need to request the PAK (Platform Activation Key) Aruba ClearPass Cx000V VM Appl E-LTU as a product in the licensing portal.
    The license you have listed is not for the VM itself, just the functions.

    So in total you will need four licenses:
    -PAK
    -Access
    -Onboard
    -OnGuard

    Thanks so much Jonas!

    I was able now to enter the license key and activate it.

    However, I'm having a wired issue with the login. I'm able to access ClearPass Policy Manager via CLI but not via the GUI

    I really don't know how to reset the password via CLI.

    Any idea ?

    Hi

    The username in GUI is admin, in CLI appadmin.
    It's two separate accounts, but after initial setup they get the same password.
    Try this combination first if you tried to log in as appadmin.


    Changing admin password from CLI is the command:
    system admin-password-reset
