Controllerless Networks

Hi,

So I have read a few posts about this but still unable to get my pixel to cast (or even find the chromecast).. both devices are conected to the same SSID

I have tried DVLA/airgroup settings (every combintation known to man) but still nothing, if i revert and connect both devices to the SSID from the 'sky router' it works

Any suggestsions would be welcoming !

What Roles are the client and Chromecast getting and what do the firewall rules look like for those roles?

I will have to check the roles ( I hadnt touched them so still default)

There are no firewall rules (just  permit all)

Try disable Airgroup and disable Broadcast filtering in advanced ssid settings.

Hi there, you stated Airgroup/DLNA but there is a specific googlecast extension under these settings which needs to be enabled.

If you have more or less a default config - this should be all you need to see the cast devices. Outside of this, please let us know what code you're running, ap etc...and portions of the config that are relevant.
