    Hello Community,

I have an VSF of 4 6300 in OS 10.10.1010.
I want to create an interface vlan with an IP, but the switch not allow me to do this.
When i typing the address, i have this message (on CLI and HTTPS i have the same issue) :

"An interface with the same IP address or subnet or an overlapping network xx.xx.xx.xx/24 already exists"

But i've nothing on my show run all, my show ip arp or my show ip route.  I have various network on /24 and no problem with them. (For example my problem concern 192.168.1.254/24 with the unabaility to create but i can create 192.168.2.254/24)

We have scheduled an upgrade and so a reboot of this equipment, maybe that solved my problem.

Do you have already hear a problem like that ?

    Thank you for your help

It's likely that you just have an overlapping (potentially misconfigured) interface somewhere.  Could you post the output of show ip interface brief all-vrfs and also let us know the IP address you're trying to configure on the new VLAN?

Err... wouldn't those be 192.168.1.0/24, and 192.168.2.0/24?  Assuming so, you don't happen to have 192.168.0.0/23 assigned, do you?

The command assigns a specific IP address to the interface and the network is calculated from that so 192.168.1.254/24 is the correct way to specify it.  The only reason the OP would get the error that they did is if there is an overlapping subnet already configured on the switch but without seeing the running config or the output of show ip interface all-vrf there's no way for us to help further.  Kevin, we're happy to help but we need to see some output from your switch to really know what's going on
