    Hi

In the office we have just installed 5 x Aruba AR-615 on a US-8-150W. Everything is 802.3at and the ports are showing PoE+, however the Aruba AP-615 is reporting limited output due to PoE. We have power cycle the equipment and had Aruba support to read the log files. The network is brand-new and all cables are tested with a professional company.

We have ordered a 12 port Aruba switch but currently it has a delivery time of 3 months.

Link to Aruba spec sheet : https://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/ds/DS_AP610Series.pdf

Any idea what we are overseeing to the AR-615 up to full capacity ? Current Wifi6 is disable due to low power.

How did you conclude that the AP is POE power restricted?

We reach out to the supplier and they spoke with Aruba support. After a log review they found out that the power draw is to low.
According to Aruba support the low power is the reason why we cannot activated the 6GHz band, not enough power.

That makes no sense, sorry. The AP-615 is either detecting the POE source as 802.3at (class 4) or 802.3af (class 3). On class 4 there are no restrictions, while on class 4 it will (only) disable the USB port (which I'm guessing is not relevant to you). Power supply status should not affect radio capabilities in any way (unless there's a bug..)
What's the LED status on that AP?
Are you saying that with the same code version (which is that?) and config, some but not all of your AP-615s has restrictions, but others do not?

Thanks for the input, any other idea how to get the 6ghz working ?

Hi, in order to understand the issue you need to answer the onno questions.

Also, you need to confirm that the regulatory domain is for a country that permit 6GHz radio.

OK, so it appears all AP-615s are operating in the same mode, and there's no indication of a limited POE budget.
Two things to keep in mind: (1) AP-615 is a tri-band but dual-radio AP, so it can be configured to operate on (any combination of different) two bands only, and (2) you need to ensure the product has been certified to operate in the 6GHz band for the selected country of operation which may require an update of the DRT file.
Not sure about DRT status, but it appears the APs are configured for 2.4GHz + 5GHz operation (which is the default).
