    Hi,

in Germany we have switched on Sunday, 25.03.2012 from Standard Time to Daylight Saving Time (DST). Since Sunday the time of the device is wrong. It displays for example in the logs of the web interface 19 o’clock, but it is actually 20 o’clock.

The device gets its system time via NTP. The time zone is configured correct.

I suppose the device missed to move from Standard Time to Daylight Saving Time. Can someone confirm this issue?

Device: V1910-24G (previously known as 3Com Baseline Switch 2928-SFP Plus)
    Firmware: HP V1910-CMW520-R1111

    #DST

How long has Germany switched on the fourth Sunday in March?

I am not sure, whether I have understood your question correct, but I hope this answer will help:

On Sunday, 2012-03-25 time was moved from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. This is the gap I have explained in the example of my initial post.

I'm asking when Germany started switching to DST on the fourth Sunday in March?

Looking it up, it seems it has been this way since 1983, plenty of time to put the rules into the switch.

    >The time zone is configured correct.

What is is the configured value?

Does it know there is a DST transition for that timezone?

Well, I don't know... do you know how to check this?

No.  Does the documentation or any web page mention DST enablement?

No, unfortunately not... it only mentions NTP.

Hmm.  The manual on P48 shows a picture where it has Set System TimeZone:

    http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02965327/c02965327.pdf

If this was Windows or Unix/Linux, that would be all that's needed.

Do you know how to get in contact with the support for this device... or how to report a bug?
