Disabled user account in guest receive internal server error while trying to login to captive portal

Problem:

Disabled users while trying to login to guest captive portal receive an internal server error



Diagnostics:

Disabled guest users receive an internal server error while trying to access guest captive portal page.



Solution

In order for guest users who try to login with disabled account, to ensure they receive an error message that account is disabled, we can enable pre-auth check for web login or guest self-registration page with pre-auth check set to "Local-match a local account".  This will ensure warning is triggered to guest users with disabled account rather than an internal server error or page cannot be displayed. This does not require a web auth service being created in Clearpass
