Onboard failing with iPAD - getting error "Your Operating system is not supported"

Problem:

CPPM Version : 6.9.0

When trying to Onboard iPADs, getting the error as "Your Operating system is not supported " when the user is trying to open the provisioning page.

 



Diagnostics:

Confirmed with the CPPM 6.9.0 Release notes that the iPadOS version 13.1.3 is supported in the CPPM Version 6.9.0

Note 1: Uses the “Over-the-air provisioning” method.

Note 2: Uses the “Onboard provisioning” method.

Note 3: Onboard may also be used to provision VPN settings, Exchange ActiveSync settings, and passcode policy on these devices.

Note 4: Windows 10 Mobile is not currently supported in Onboard.



Solution

 

Starting from CPPM Version 6.9.0, Due to Apple's changes in iPadOS 13, a new iPadOS device type has been added to Onboard.

We need to enable the "iPadOS device provisioning" option in the Provisioning Settings ( Supported devices ).

Once the "iPadOS device provisioning" option is enabled, we will be able to Onboard iPad successfully.
