Validate the username field to provide only 10 digits as phone number without any special characters on CPPM

Jul 04, 2014 06:21 AM

Introduction : This article talks about validating the guest's phone number to be a 10 digit number with no special characters.

Environment : This best applies to CPPM 6.2

Configuration Steps :

Please refer to below article for details about using the Phone number as User name for guest registration.

https://arubanetworkskb.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/HowTo/How-to-Insert-a-new-Field-in-the-Guest-Self-Registration-page

Once we have this configured, we would have to edit the validation rules.

Login to Clear Pass Guest and navigate to " Home » Configuration » Forms & Views" and edit the username field.

Enable validation on the field as ‘IsRegexMatch’ with the Validation Argument as ‘^[0-9]{10}$’ and add a  custom error message.
