Configuring NTP Server

Summary

This solution template generates configuration codes to add an NTP server to your Aruba Mobility Controllers. The "ntp server" option is the global configuration code and needs to be configured on the master controller. All global configuration codes will be pushed from the master controller to all of the local controllers after a successful "write mem" operation. Both the "clock timezone and clock summer-time" options are local configurations, which need to be configured on each local controller depending on the physical locations.

The iburst option will enable faster clock convergence by generating more frequent NTP requests to the NTP server. Turn this off once the clock is synchronized to reduce the number of queries.

Platform Tested

Aruba Mobility Controller 3400 running AOS 6.2.1.1 build 38111

Configuration Notes

The system provides a set of default values for different US cities. You are recommended to change the NTP server to your preferred local or closet NTP server.
