Attached is the presentation from July 24th webinar with Brad Noblet (president of BN consulting and former CIO of Dartmouth College), Charles Rumford (Network Engineer, Information Resources & Technology team (IRT) at Drexel University) and Matthew Nocifore (Senior Director of Networking, IRT at Drexel).
Brad Noblet kicked off the webinar with a discussion on the challenges and best practice recommendations for the Wi-Fi site survey, AP placement and Wi-Fi capacity planning for residence halls. Charles and Matthew shared their insights, lessons learned and design/deployment best practices for supporting high density of mobile devices in residence halls. A new Wi-Fi design adopted by Drexel IRT returned with more than the double traffic usage and over 50% better student satisfaction.
