How do I know which power profile AP-12X is using?

Jul 01, 2014 05:16 PM

Product and Software: This article applies to Aruba AP-120 series and ArubaOS 3.3 and later.

AP-12X probes the input voltage from the POE injector once per a minute and may change its power profile accordingly.

To show the profile that an AP is on, enter the following command:

#show ap debug system-status ap-name ap125 | begin Power  Power Status  ------------  Operational State POE: One Ethernet port disabled; 3 TX chains per radio  ----------------- ------------------------------------------------------  Current HW State POE: One Ethernet port disabled; 3 TX chains per radio

Legend:

Profile 1: "POE: No restrictions" or "DC"

Profile 2: "POE: One Ethernet port disabled; 3 TX chains per radio"

Profile 3: "POE: One Ethernet port disabled; 2 TX chains per radio"

To show the transition log in driver-log from the AP, enter the following command:

#show ap debug driver-log ap-name ap125 | include POE

Shutting down 3rd TX chain due to insufficient POE voltage[power profile 3]

Shutting down eth1 due to insufficient POE voltage [power profile 3]
