How does the knob "LED override" under the ap system profile work?

Jul 20, 2015 09:40 AM

Requirement:

This knob is applicable only for the APs with one LED.
For example: AP-228/274/275/277s.

Solution:

This knob overrides the LED action for LED operation mode normal.

If enabled, LED auto-turn-off function will not work. In "auto-turn-off" function, single LED aps will turn off its LED after 20mins of normal operation by default.

Configuration:

(Aruba) (config) #configure  terminal
Enter Configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z

(Aruba) (config) #ap system-profile Test

(Aruba) (AP system profile "Test") #led-?
led-mode                The operating mode for the LEDs (11n/11ac APs only)
led-override            Override the LED action for LED operation mode
normal. If enabled, LED auto-turn-off function will
not work. One LED APs only, e.g., AP-228/274/275/277.

(Aruba) (AP system profile "Test") #led-override

Verification

Once we have this knob enabled we can see the aps not turning its LED off.
