How to check the CPU utilization of an Access Point from controller command line (CLI) ?

Jul 04, 2014 02:25 PM

Environment  :  This article applies to Aruba Controller and Aruba Campus Access Points

There are instances where because of high cpu utilization on an access point, the wireless client can experience connectivity issues or the quality of the voice call could degrade gradually. This could also affect the ability of an AP to send beacons regularly because of which clients be associated to an AP.

If a set of clients at a particular location experience connectivity issues and users of others users are just fine, then looking at the CPU utilization of a particular AP would really help us understand the cause of problem. Below command on the controller CLI should help us to get the CPU utilization on an AP:

"show ap debug system-status ap-name <name of the AP> | include "CPU and Memory Usage"
