Q:

What are the features that are not supported when a RAP is in Split Tunnel mode on AOS: 8.x?

A:

The split tunneling feature allows you to optimize traffic flow by directing only corporate traffic back to the controller, while local application traffic remains local. This ensures that local traffic does not incur the overhead of the round trip to the controller, which decreases traffic on the WAN link and minimizes latency for local application traffic. This is useful for sites that have local servers and printers.

Below are the features that are not supported when a RAP's forwarding mode is in Split Tunnel on AOS: 8.x

* Bandwidth based CAC

* DMO (Dynamic Multicast Optimization)

* IGMP Proxy Mobility

* Layer-2 Mobility

* Layer-3 Mobility

* Mobile IP

* Multizone

* Named VLAN

* TKIP countermeasure management

* Video over Mesh

* Vlan Pooling

* Voice Over Mesh
