Controller Based WLANs

Environment : This article applies to Aruba OS 6.4.2.x and above.

Prior to Aruba OS 6.4.2.x, when configuring the RTLS server in the ap system profile, the valid range of values for station report message frequency is 5-3600 seconds.

Starting from Aruba OS 6.4.2.x, RTLS message frequency can be configurable down to 1 per second.

There are deployments that would require this to be configurable to as frequent as every 1 second.
Setting the frequency to 1 means a report would be sent for every station every second. A value of 5 would mean that a report for any particular station would be sent at 5 second intervals.

CLI Configuration

(Aruba) (config) #ap system-profile default.
(Aruba) (AP system profile "default") #rtls-server ip-or-dns 1.1.1.1 port 7779 key aruba123 station-message-frequency 1

GUI Configuration

1. Navigate to Configuration->Wireless->AP Configuration.
2. Click on the default AP group.
3. Navigate AP->AP System Profile and select Advance Tab.
4. In the Advance Tab ,Configure RTLS Server Configuration.
