When does Aruba Migration Tool aborts with the Message "Health File Missing!"?

Q:

When does Aruba Migration Tool aborts with the Message "Health File Missing!"?

A:

The Aruba Migration Tool is used to convert the 6.x platform based configuration to 8.x platform based configuration. While migrating there is a possibility to come across this error Message "Health File Missing!".

Once common scenario in which we can expect the above error message is when the "cfgfile" variable is set in CP Boot. Hence make sure the "cfgfile" variable is not set in the 6.x running controller before backing up the flash. If the "cfgfile" is set while backing up the flash of the controller we might be missing the default.cfg file. Hence we tend to receive this error message.

One can use "printenv" command on the controller by interrupting the auto boot of the controller to check if "cfgfile" variable is set or not.

Hence to avoid this error message "Health File Missing!" we need to make sure the "cfgfile" variable is not set in the cpboot. And also make sure the flashbackup file form the 6.x controller do not miss the default.cfg file.
