Where are the RF_Protect passwords stored?

Product and Software: This article applies to RFprotect and all versions of the RFprotect software.

 

In Linux, the sysdba password is stored in three different places.

 

These two files contain the password in plain text:

  • /opt/firebird/SYSDBA.password
  • /opt/rfprotect/RFprotectEngine/RFprotect.conf

This file contains the password in an encrypted format:

  • /opt/firebird/security.fdb
