Why is the status and quality of the mesh link not being displayed properly in the GUI?

Jul 09, 2014 04:50 PM

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba controllers and ArubaOS versions

The status and quality of the mesh link are not being displayed properly in Mesh Visualization in the GUI. (Running MMS 2.5.0.1, build 16759 and MMS Visualization 2.5.0.3, build 17017.) Even though access points are correctly provisioned with GPS coordinates, the status and the quality of the mesh link is not being displayed properly in the GUI.

The RSI value shows 0, but the value displayed properly on the CLI.

The RSSI value displayed in the table will be the service radio of the mesh APs.

For example, for a mesh point, which uses a band to communicate with parent portal and uses g band for service coverage, this RSSI value should be g's RSSI value. Of course, if one mesh point does not have a service radio, or if there is no monitor to listen to its service radio, then the value will be 0.

We use this value to decide the size of the 3D model, that is, the coverage area of the service radio, not the strength of the mesh link.
